    ....is on Tyneside, so the Siemens turbine plant, at Hull's Alexandra Dock, is on Humberside.

    Absolute bollocks. It's in East Yorkshire, even the article says so. <doh>

    The Lincolnshire people on the south bank of the Estuary were in direct competition with us FFS. Tyneside and the Humber are two very different entities.


    The other thread was deleted because it forms part of issues not of this board. I'll lock this one as it's an extension of the same tedious ****e.

    Before someone claims it, it's not a personal thing (I was in favour of the joint Humber approach that didn't happen) the last 'debate' bored people to death and it's a board run for the majority.

    Is Hull not on the side of the Humber? Should Scousers not refer to Merseyside?
