Sunderland Transfer News: Liam Bridcutt To Become Poyetâs First Signing? December 10, 2013 Joseph Speckman Sport no comments Sunderland manager Gus Poyet is likely to make a move for former player Liam Bridcutt when the January Transfer Window opens in just over three weeks time. The Brighton & Hove Albion and Scotland midfielder has caught the eye of a number of Premier League sides in recent months, but a reunion with former boss Poyet is likely to be his first choice. Bridcutt told BBC Sussex that he is committed to the South coast club, but could find it hard to say no to a Premier League club following last seasonâs play-off failure. âWithout a doubt Iâve always said I want to be a Premier League player. In other Black Cats news, Danny Graham, who is on loan from Sunderland, scored his first goal for Hull City on Monday night against former club Swansea City in a 1-1 draw. Graham could be joining Bridcutt in the Stadium of Light dressing room in January when his loan deal is likely to be cut short to bolster Poyetâs strike force. I can see the former but no way the latter of these two transfers in January. DG will add nothing to our current strikeforce and we will need to look elsewhere imo for that solution as currently there is no answer to our shot shy team within the club.
