Despite looking as if he trains in a pie factory canteen, we can't ignore the fact that this is fine approach player and a lethal finisher.

This is going to be one hell of a game on Monday, but it's clear that we are going to have to be on absolutely top form.

    Gutted I'm missing this one.

    Thank you, Sky. :emoticon-0173-middl

I would of been worried about that this time last year. Morrison will have him in his pocket!

Although i do remember him ripping us apart in the championship with stoke!

I rate Parkin- bit worried by this. He can bully pretty much any central defender.. Big test for our resident hard man, morro.

Let them worry about us..we are 5 points ahead of them so we have nothing to worry about.
2 seasons ago Huddersfield were a passing team last season it was long ball, havent seen them this year but with parkin signing we know what to expect..the alamo.
3 1 to us and end their run.

Could cause us problems on Monday night but surely Huddersfield will go with Jordan Rhodes and Lee Novak up front? I think if Parkin does play then we all know its gonna be hoofball up to him i.e. how we used to play when we had Iwelumo.

In terms of James Harper - Could be a good loan signing but I'd rather see Bradley Pritchard getting the place on the bench rather than him or Jason Euell

I don't know if harper could get anywhere near the level he was at when with reading. I too would prefer Pritchard.

But the thing is, AH, whilst it helps he was born in britain(or England), he isn't very good in football manager. Isn't this how we should be scouting our players?

Yes he looks as if he's a big fan of food but make no mistake, John Parkin is a thoroughly good player. For me there's no doubt he'll do some serious damage in this league. I can see him being a wonderful foil for the front men Huddersfield already have on the books.

However, having said that I fancy Morrison and Taylor to match him physically.

You don't get the nick name the beast for nothing.

Can anyone remember us having a striker in the parkin mold?

In my life time we have never really been a overly physical team.

Closest I can think of would be Andy Hunt, but even he's not too close.

Closest in er, chunkiness in all football I guess would be the legendary Micky Quinn - "Sumo" - who once stopped to eat a pie thrown at him on the pitch. His ample build never stopped him scoring goals wherever he went, way over 200.

Not liking the looks for monday, I want to be positive but I'm really not sure if I can be, Morrison will have Parkin all day, even Taylor imo, but I am still bricking it about Rhodes, I will happily have someone like Hollands or Stephens or someone like that make a dead leg tackle (nothing too serious on the fella) to Rhodes and keep him out the game... would have loved to have been there but again, Sky moved it so I can't... will be sat in my local in Leicester hopefully cheering us to victory, lets hope for the best... and hope BWP gets his first professional hat trick :)
