Rumours gathering pace in Italy about the Zarate deal to Sunderland and Lazio wanting the deal to be a permanent one rather than a loan move. I have to say since the lad first burst onto the scene at the Stadium of Light for Birmingham were he showed glimpses of very good technical ability I have only managed to watch him a few times for Internazionale last season where he look ok. Yesterdays reports said that we were interested in a Peruvian international who can play at left back and even though Vargas rarely plays in that position nowadays and with him looking to move on on a permanent transfer its seems as though he would be a good bet. Watched the two clips poolie, little flicks, n handballs with zarate, didn't get me to excited but oh my Vargas did, would be looking to cream my pants if we signed him, just hope he's not related to stan lol

I remember when we signed Johnson and I cudnt wait to see him/McClean/Sess/Fletch in the same team and it never really took off, spesh for McClean. So i'll withold my judgement until/if I see them play in a SAFC shirt, hard not to speculate and get excited tho, ie my mag mates can barely speak given all their French related transfer activity!
