from the match. Archetypal result for this season, ie doing well enough to get 1 or 3 points, but failing. Today we should have had three points. Crouch, Arnie and right at the end Imbula, all had good chances to score, but failed. SO TYPICAL. I can recall only one chance for the visitors to score this afternoon, which they spurned.
It was my fervent hope that both Sunderland and Newcastle would be relegated, only for the sake of our long suffering and long travelling away supporters, which sadly I can no longer be a member of.
Both teams, assuming Sunderland survive, will need to improve on today's performance for safety next season. I dozed off in the first half. :emoticon-0132-envy:
