Wow... what an atmosphere. I may reconsider not renewing my season ticket but that's besides the point. We were truly unlucky to go down 2-0. It was so frustrating but the fans were right behind Arsenal. The team reminded me of the invincibles; very direct, quick passing (going mostly forwards and not sideways), hustling for the ball and winning 50/50s. Lord knows why we have been so inconsistent. Rosicky was my man of the match, he is finally finding the form that made him such a great at start of his career at Arsenal. If there are any negatives, our defence was a shambles at timeS. The way we conceded the first goal was unlucky but we gave them waaaaaay too much space.

Let's hope we can do the same to Liverpool in the next game and who knows? If we beat Liverpool and Manure defeats the Spuds, we'll be only 4 points behind Tottenham.

    Happy days.

True that, I just got back too, it was very frustrating going 2-0 down, but I didn't lose hope I kept saying there was more than enough time to get back into the game, even in the first half, although I wasn't expecting a 2-2 at half time, I was confident we could still get 1 back and do something major in the second half, we blew Spurs Away. They had no idea what hit them, maybe Adebayor shouldn't have been dancing like a clown when he scored, haha, he ain't dancing now that mug.

I think Sagna's goal came at a crucial time, 0-2 at half time and the crowd would have got on our back.
Amazing what difference some support and positivity can make....

Its all about what pace we want to play at, if we pass the ball quickly and move it about then we can cause any team problems and when we don't have possession, as was shown today when we press the opposition especially high up the pitch then we have a great chance of winning the ball back in a dangerous area. Every player seemed to be hungry to win every ball and it was a necessity that we had the ball, also especially when you look at our team without gervinho and oxlaide chamberlain it was a great team performance and we must play with the same hunger and desire against liverpool next saturday.

We played a differnt style of football today, we were far more direct, Rosicky helped because when he got the ball he went straight forward, this didn't give their defence and midfield enough time to get into position.

We need to play more direct football, it will be criminal if we go back to tippy tappy against Liverpool

We wanted it, we were triers throughout, simple as that for me.
Haven't said it too often recently but today was a proud day to be an Arsenal fan, someone called for an Anfield 89 spirit last night and that's exactly what we saw, a performance full of energy and self belief

  9. It really must have sunk in after today.

I am hoping that the Chelsea, Villa, and Spurs games help the mentality of the team. When you start repeating something it becomes a habit, much like Utd scoring late to rescue games. This is a little self fulfilling too, as with Utd for instance, it makes the opponents afraid at precisely the time they should be 100% concentrated on seeing a game out.

  10. That was Robin Van Bergkamp - and thankfully the team obliged. They have no excuses now - they can do it when they make the effort.

Rosicky and Song were immense, but so was Benyayoun whose unselfish running helped create space.

Walcoot is a jammy so and so - poor first half, really, really poor, but finds hisself in the right spot to bag 2 goals and the BBC news headlines say Walcott inspired the fightback.

For all the Ramsey fans, I'm afraid this is a game that shoes how much his inlcusion costs us, for without him we were quick, direct and accurate.

Let's hope we beat LFC and as someone said, with SPurs being their usual charitable self against United we could be just 4 points behind them, though I still think they're a better all round team than us and will probably still get 3rd, and I think we will still loose a few too many against the struggling teams to make 4th uncertain.

But that's for the future but for now, as Maggie once said, "Rejoice!".

That was exactly the difference to what we have been doing. Yet now and again they retreated into sideways and back when they didn't need to.
    Lesson learned PLEASE.

To be fair Ramsey has arguably been overplayed and was out the majority of previous year with a broken leg. Hes also young so won't be consistent, a rest will do him good im sure.

Glenn, Re Ramsey - he has had more than enough to prove his worth. The criticisms of him have nothing to do with fitness, more just an embarassing lack of awareness of the game around him. He gets the ball, he takes touch, he looks up, fails to see the wing man in acres of space trying to get in behind the fullback, ... and passes it sideways, too often it being a hospital ball. That I'm afraid strikes me more like a plain simpel lack of talent, but I might be wrong. My prediction is once Wilshere is back (btw not the great white hope himself) Ramsey will be on the subs bench.
