Got that film on my laptop, although I haven't watched it yet. I believe "From Hell" (starring Johnny Depp) borrowed some of the ideas from it, and I did quite like that film. Its an interesting part of London's history, fascinating in fact, so many conspiracy theories surround it, some believable, some ludicrous. He'd probably never have gotten away with it in this day and age though

I always thought it was Wilfred H Bramble. He looked the sort for all those Victorian-old brass-butchering shenanigans.
