We really have had an excellent success rate with first team transfers since Howe and the new ownership came in. Hits: Guimaraes, Gordon, Isak, Trippier, Tonali, Livramento, Hall, Botman - most cost a fair whack, but all are/were outstanding signings. Solid: Burn, Pope, Wood - all unspectacular but effective in their own ways (Wood even if only by weakening our relegation rivals at the time). Misses: Targett (thanks to injuries, or he'd be a solid), Barnes (actually a decent player, but still a miss for me as it led to us overspending and having to emergency sell useful players, and the signing didn't strengthening one of our weakest areas). Too early to judge: Kelly, Osula.
