If the world of football was on a complete level field financially and say for instance every side had a player budget of 15 million and a top world player could be bought for 2 million maximum. Who would you have as manager of saints and why? Personally I would have Wenger I think with his eye for young players mixed in with a couple of top class players he would lead saints to the title a good few seasons. As I said this is just for fun although I await another backlash for trying to make posts!
Maybe tactically but do you think he would be as astute as Wenger when it come to buying players and not being able to just throw loads of cash at other sides and for wages?
Wenger has proven he is useless at signing players and his success relied heavily on henry's goals, he needs a dof now to sort out transfers so he can concentrate on tactics and getting bak to winning things
I hear what your saying Spiderman! But this isn't a thread on Wenger..... Who would you have as manager of saints then and why?
As I said this is just for fun although I await another backlash for trying to make posts! [/QUOTE] SaintsfanAlex........ An unusual statement to make.............Something we need to be aware of??
I made a thread up yesterday mate about teams signing players while our manager was on holiday and received a backlash for it! Was only trying to make conversation!
This is a board for grown men with big testies - Suck it up - Jokes aside...... dont ever get too worried about other peoples comments, they are just voicing their opinion too and many peoples opinions differ from mine i accept that
It was my first effort to try and start talking with everyone and it was pretty lame attempt to be honest but hopefully I will improve!
Umm alex fergison so him and NC can rule the world and piss of the media on the way, plus even tho i hate manu hes not a bad tactician
At the moment, Nigel Adkins, and I hope to be able to say the same in a couple of years time as well. A lot of top managers have never had to build a team with limited funds, so it's like comparing chalk and cheese. I like Wenger, but it would be interesting to see him or any top Premiership manager try and manage a League 1 or 2 team.
I think Wenger would do well in lower leagues mainly cause of his spotting of young players and turning them into premier league players...... but is it him finding them or the backroom staff?
Yeah not totally sure of the proper spelling of the Barcelona manager but didn't he pretty much inherit his side??
The thought of signing Messi, Iniesta, Xavi for £2m apiece would certainly make my mouth water. Lallana, Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and Chamberlain. Now that would be a midfield worth watching.
