Do you think we have done enough this season to deserve PL survival?
As objectively as you can, when you look at the five bottom clubs, do you think there are three others who have performed worse than us and deserve to be relegated in our place?
Would a disinterested observer agree with your opinion?

My answers in order are yes(just about), maybe and don't know, but probably not.

We have played some ****e this season but we've also had some good spells in several games without capitalising on it. We have also had the Rats Arse luck. I just cant help but think of the SWP disallowed goal against West Brom and Clint Hill's against Bolton, that's 6 points officials have cost us, we'd be virtually safe by now. Also i think we are in the top 3 or 4 of sides who have hit the wood work the most, if 3 or 4 of those had gone in where would we be. I think the SWP one was significant asd that would have given him a real shot in the arm. That said I am ****ed if i know whether we are getting what we deserve.

We also have broken the record for the number of red cards in one season. THAT says it all.

My biggest fear now is that on the brink we don't relax enough to play any football. We seem to be able to respond by which time it's often too late. These next 8 games of football are of course very important and I feel we rush around and get into people's faces as many wish then we do so without developing the craft to win a game. I stare again that any team in this league can beat any other on the day... So many times a team who is relaxed or has very little to play for produces their best form.
To me being in the face of a team is saying too much respect
Many teams will expect this and play a patient game and eventually play around us ... We have to of course stop the likes of Arsenal and Spurs, United playing their respected games but when we have the ball we need sustained craft or it's will be just another bad day.

When it's loose it flows and look what can happen in 13 minutes against Liverpool .

I hope at the end of this we are still QPR

Conversely, if we stay up then we'll deserve it too.

I honestly think we've had some of the worst luck this season, almost like there's a conspiracy! We've had so many injuries, so many changes, so many bad decisions and new players coming in and not pulling their weight. The fact that we're not bottom of the table is an achievement and if we stay up we'll have definitely deserved it.

No, this is the worst PL relegation fight ever. I think both us and especially Wolves deserve it and it could be said that if there were 5 spots to go down, nobody could say theyve been unlucky. I just hope we arent down and only a couple of points below a safe Bolton and that would mean that Hill goal could have saved us.

We have totally self destructed, especially with the red cards. That has cost us safety alone.

I'm old enough to remember our fight to avoid our last relegation from the Premier League and also from the Championship to League One. In both those seasons, I can't remember faulting the effort of the players. There was bad luck, bad referees, bad decisions, average players etc etc but, as I recall, there was also a strong fighting spirit which was pretty consistent and which I thought deserved better. This season, the occasional game (Liverpool) and the occasional player (Derry, Mackie) has shown some of that grit and determination but, generally, we have been sinking, not with a roar but with a whimper.

Trouble is grit and determination isn't enough at this level. You need talent, grit, determination and a game plan, plus plans B and C. Could argue that Diakite and Cisse have shown passion, but no judgement. Still, not over yet.....

I agree with all that. But when the talent isn't on display, the decision making is poor and the game plan isn't obvious, wouldn't it be nice to at least see some grit and determination?!!!

    I'd say:

    1) Probably not
    2) Yes
    3) not really applicable in my case

The reasoning behind that is that from what I've seen of you this season (admittedly only highlights) based on your performances alone you haven't performed well enough often enough to expect to stay up.

I might seem to be about to contradict myself now, because I think Wigan and Wolves have been just as bad but have had years without doing anything of note. Even us and Blackpool made more of an impression in our first 6 months than those clubs have made in the last few years, although Wolves are one of only four clubs making a profit so I might give them a pass on the grounds that they're playing fairly. Bolton are probably about the same level but should be expecting more as an established side with what is a decent manager, and Villa being down there is just ridiculous so on their relative performances they all deserve to go down at least as much as you do. Blackburn I can't decide about, the owners deserve to be relegated just for the way they handled the sacking of Allardyce and the stupid transfer attempts and the players have underperformed, although they did lose key parts of the team in the summer. The fans have given Kean an unduly hard time, he doesn't seem to have had much of the money from the players sales made available to him so for him I'd like them to stay up, but I can't think of anything else they offer as a neutral observer of their games.

As a side note, as far as red cards go have you seen Leicester's record this season?
