Caleb has missed 5 games through injury. The Rapids won their first three games and looked like they were going places (Caleb had scored twice) but they then lost their next 3 games, won the next and have drawn their last seven (I believe). With 16 goals from 14 games they are hardly prolific. They have a much vaunted striker in a bloke called Conor Casey who I looked forward to watching as someone on another board suggested that Hull City should be looking at him as he had scored 40-odd goals last season. After watching this bloke I came to the conclusion that he was making a commendable impersonation of a Cart-horse and that (imo) he was useless. I therefore expected big things from Caleb as, although he has a habit of looking like a Swiss Army Knife when in full flight and cannot get his left leg to go in the general direction of his right leg, he has a bit of pace and could well make a name for himself in the MLS. Sadly I have to agree with the initial poster that, like the highly praised Altidore, you either have it or you haven't and Caleb hasn't. Neither has Jozy for that matter. They have some great 'ex-biggies' in the MLS who have lifted the standard of the game there but Caleb is struggling in a league that he should be shining in. After a mere 9 games there is still plenty of time to turn his game around and I hope he can.
