Does anybody know why Wolves are playing tonight, therefore having an extra 24 hours recovery time than Bristol City?

I sometimes appreciate the vagaries of the fixture list system, but surely this sort of thing sometimes significantly benefits some teams over others?? Does the system "sort things out" over time, or is it just "one of those things" and you have to accept it??

Finally, is there an "appeal" system, where teams can say, sorry, "we don't think this is right because of these reasons....?"

Lots of questions I know, but it is something that has come to my attention because of our own situation. Other teams will probably have had the same situation, but surely, as much as possible, there should be a level playing field (sorry about the pun)!!!!

This was debated on OTIB and someone suggested it was at the insistence of Villa or possibly WMP.
Annoying as it is I can understand Villa insisting on that date in order to play us whilst we are fkd.
