No wonder we are smiling ! I have to say, Cunningham looks a superb prospect, who can and will improve even further as the season progresses. City looked on fire against Palarse. Taylor, Cunningham, Scuse, Stead, Heaton all look at the top of their game. But the pick for me was Wooly. He has been largely incognito for the duration of his stay so far, which I found bewildering because he does look like he SHOULD be a very good player, and when Millen signed him we heard big statements from the north about his potential. Through this pre season he has looked a different player, and last night we saw for the first time that we have a real gem in our midst. Which leads me to state this: If any of our so called 'stars' get up themselves about finding bigger clubs or playing in the Prem, be careful what you wish for. Big things are just around the corner at BS3, and you wouldn't want to sacrifice that for a place in West Ham reserves. Just ask Mr Baldock
Strange I always rated him when he played for Scunny but when he came here he looked disinterested and appeared to have lost his pace and willingness. Hopefully Del has seen the potential and he's getting the right physical and mental coaching now. I'd be careful about getting too carried away after one result as well. We're all excited by the result and signings, but let's not jump the gun. If we put 4 past Cardiff then maybe !
I don't think he enjoyed playing under Keith seems happier most of team do under del he got them believing in themselves more
I echo your sentiments Angelic. I will be very happy with a point against Cardiff given our dire record against them in recent seasons. If we pinch 3 points and play as well as we played last night then there will be cause for realistic optimism. I haven't felt as optimistic about City for a few years now, there's a shaft of light at the end of the tunnel! I thought Wooly was MOTM too. Glad to see him regaining his confidence. I hate to see players abused publicly and would not have blamed him if he wanted away this summer but fair play to the lad he's stuck at it and will hopefully keep up the form he's currently in.
I can remember Tinnion getting far worse abuse (dogs abuse in fact) than Wooly and he turned out to be a club legend.. It's there if you want it enough son...
