When he was with Brighton in our League One days he famously described Southampton as being "like Dagenham and Redbridge plus Rickie Lambert". So yesterday was very satisfying as you can imagine! As for your team, we were all hoping we could finally break the hoodoo that the Black Cats have had over us since we got back to the Prem, but nobody imagined a scoreline remotely like that. The irony is, for the first 20 minutes you were on top, and we were struggling. I think Vergini's OG kind of knocked the stuffing out of you. I'm actually a Magpie myself mate so I equally enjoyed yesterdays results... it's kinda the law up here. To be fair to Gus he didn't make any excuses yesterday he just told it how it was and for that he has to take credit I feel. If it had been Pardew on the end of a hammering the tea lady would have been blamed. Good luck.
