Can we give the player of the season award to the whole of the team this year lol? They've all (except Perch. Even though he tries) done so well this season...and im bloody proud of them all. It just seems a shame to only pick out one player to reward. I hope alot of the fans stay on Sunday to show their appreication to the players. Because they deserve it.
Barton, Nolan, Colo, Enrique, Tiote would be the front runners for it but to pick one player that has been better than the rest this season would be criminal to the rest of the team because we have been great and have proved many people wrong.
It's been a real team effort and although there have been some great individual performances, it's been a team effort that's got us where we are. The guy's have all pulled together and done us proud and I'm sure most of us will stay behind to give them a good send off on Sunday. Just a bit surprised that Guti hasn't been mentioned from the midfield as he's played a big part too in the proceedings. He even went to the trouble of waving to one of the posters on here.
The fact that its so hard to pick just one player shows how well we've done this season despite being ravaged by injuries and suspensions at various points of the season. I honesty can't call who's going to win it. Barton is a true leader who's chipped in a few goals and lots of assists (and he was a lion in the draw with Arsenal), where would we be without Nolans goals, Tiote has bossed the midfield in his first season, Jose has been excellent bar a short dip in form a few weeks ago, Colo has to be one of the classiest CB's in the league and Jonas has really stepped up this season and genuinely gives us something different. In short, it's a tough choice.
Jonas, Collo, Barton, Nolan, Tiote, Harper, Krul, Simmo, Best, Lover, Willo, Saylor, all ha an amazing spell sometime in the season.
