With the Hull City owner determined to change the name of the club regardless of what anyone else wants, what if this were to start off a trend and other clubs followed suit? What names would be appropriate to clubs? For starters we could be Sunderland Panthers (Black Cats). The Mags could be Newcastle Bouycotts. Boro could be The Boro *****'s and Liverpool could known as the Stealers....Any more offers?
Man utd could be - anybody outside of manchester united, or asia united, or non-manchester glory Chelsea could be, where were you when you were **** 49rs
RAW; For starters we could be Sunderland Panthers (Black Cats). Did you know that Panthers are Leopards. They are black with black spots. It's true.
Newcastle Broncos (after their love of horses) Newcastle Nuggets (Mike Ashley might set up a partnership with the Denver based WBA franchise) Newcastle Pasty Smashers (In honour of their love for Gregg's)

Hull City chairman Assem Allam has been accused of showing a "lack of respect" after threatening to quit his role if he cannot change the club's name. Allam, 74, says he will leave "within 24 hours" if his application to alter the name to Hull Tigers is not backed. The plan needs Football Association approval and Hull fans' group City Till We Die are unhappy with Allam's threat http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25741182
