I see it is being thrown about in the media that Podolski could be on his way out of Arsenal. Just wondered what people thought about if we have any chance and would it be a good way to expand our striking department.
I think he'd do well here because it's West London and there are loads of Poles. He could go to the Polish church in Ealing Broadway. There's a good Polish restaurant near Loftus Road, too.
I know the name suggests otherwise but don't forget he's German. I believe he's proper German too. It was Klose that was a pseudo German with a Polish background.

It doesn't exactly correct you, though. It just shows he's sort of half and half. But obviously he's Polish by blood.
True but is does subscribe to your theory of him enjoying a spicy sausage and mustard in a polish deli on the Uxbridge road after a match.
Why has everything gone so quiet with regards to strikers? We hear plenty of guff about midfielders but not one shred of news for days in terms of strikers apart from Thor coming back on the radar. I doubt that double deal involving Kane will go through as both players have to want to leave.
I think it might be one of those things where Harry is all public with the midfield transfers so it keeps every one away from the striker transfers. I am of course joking.
How about Hernandez? I know everyone will ask how will he fit in but that would be a nice problem to have. Apart from him/Crouch/Defoe/Wickham/Kane am struggling to think of anyone else. How about Adebayor?
Thought I saw that Defoe got injured playing for Toronto and also that Ajax were looking at Eto....Eto to Ajax, Iceman 2 to QPR?? Could happen?
Can't see Podolski or Eto as happening, Sigthorsson seems a long shot. Ideally would/should try & keep Remy & then able to get by with 1 addtition. The choice seems to be getting narrower with Crouch, Defoe, Kane, Deeney, Wickham seeming the most likely. Defoe would be good as a short term loan, with Kane, Deeney, Wickham all offering something longer term.
So we can only ever recruit players we are at least partially familiar with because they play in England? Better value and skills elsewhere. We'll get a good player or two from Europe on loan.
