Spurs RB Kyle Naughton, who is unhappy at playing LB, wants to move to a prem team that will let him play in his preferred position. He´s got prem experience, only 25 & looking for a move. Would he be a good buy for us IF we go up ?
Not sure about the wages mind.

Think RDL is an excellent player and could more than hold his own in the PL so would look at other areas to add quality first. Naughton is also an excellent player however and wouldn't say no if he was available for a decent fee

Arguably the best internal buy of the summer was Tom Huddlestone - I think Nigel has to look at the big teams and see if there are similar situations as looks to strengthen the squad - Naughton is arguably one of those ...

This. There are other positions which i would concentrate on first as i have full faith in RDL BUT if players are out there sometimes its all about taking what is available at the right price to improve the team - regardless of the position. Thats also how you build a strong team for the future providing you manage to stay up in the first year.

Naughton has also played left-back for Spurs...

Left-back is one area we need to strengthen (regardless of what league we're in!)

Naughton would be a good buy imo, has been a fringe player at Spurs for a while now like Tom Huddlestone, but will prob be snapped up by bigger clubs than us.

Not so sure Wizard. "If" we go up we would stand a good chance of getting him as not sure the "bigger" prem clubs would want him
Im sure thr Hull fans didnt think they could attract someone like Huddlestone. It all changes once u r in the prem

This, according to the report, is the reason why he wants to leave Spurs. He´s ****ed off with playing LB & wants to play RB, which is his better position. :emoticon-0112-wonde

I'd be if I was losing out to Kyle Walker. I think Naughton's a much better player, and it'd be foolish for Spurs to sell him. But I'm very happy with De Laet at RB so I do think buying Naughton isn't a number one priority. If we considered playing him as a winger, however...

If we go up, my number one right back targets would be Kieran Trippier (might only be possible if Burnley slip up) and Sam Barham ...

I reckon we'll be in for him. We've got Huddlestone and Livermore already (at least a deal set up to sign him if we stay up), so he'd have ex-team mates here to settle and draw him on the grounds we've given their careers a good kick start (restart in Hudds case). Plus we'll be after a fullback, we've only really got Rosenior and Figueroa. (If we play 442 to accomodate our £14M strikeforce we really need Brady and Elmo as wingers not fullbacks)

Kyle Naughton is too good for you.

An excellent RB who we had for a while...head and shoulders above most in the Prem.
The fact he can also play LB shows just how good he is. If you manage to get him he'll be your player of the season...easily!

    Good luck with that <ok>

I have to say I agree with you Queeny
Trippier is totally unproven in the Prem and having a decent time of it in the championship but Naughton has been there in the Prem
We know from his time with us on loan what a good player he is
I dont think he would be some amazing coup though if we got him, being a premiership team will make you an attractive club to a lot of players. Huddlestone to Hull being a prime example
We have a wonderful scouting team so I expect them to un earth some more gems for us
