    A wonderful Christmas to all of you from Vancouver Island by way of the Canary Islands where Ann and I are spending 3 months. I have always enjoyed the banter on our site and long may it continue.

    Bit I find funny, is when they announced the tolls going last year, my house has gone up a great deal. Surely it would of been cheaper to spend £1200 a year and travel across rather than all the extra tens of thousands on the houses they are paying now??

    What brings you to Vancouver? Over the past two years I've travelled east area of Canada, and west coast of USA, seems like your area might be the obvious one to be next on the list!

    A truly magnificent part of our world Rob. The island is about a quarter the size of England with a population of less than a million with virtually no crime and even less racial issues. I would highly recommend all of you should visit. P.S. Traffic and parking is never an issue.

    Merry Xmas and a happy new year all. From an Ashton lad who moved to Wales years ago ,
    Cheers guys for increasing house prices this side of the bridge since news of toll removal announced. (Will also make the trip to ‘the gate’ a bit cheaper in the future).
