4 wins from a not too good first half of the season, one more than that and a cpl of draws WILL be enough.. 35-38 points will be what we finish with..there's 9 winnable games,3 for possible draws,3 near certain loses
Have faith, keep the faith.... New assist manager, one, maybe 2 signings, cpl of injuries back...we'll be ok....
We almost have to win one in every three fixtures. I honestly can't see that happening. We look like a team already relegated at times. At least some of the other hot relegation tips like Burnley are showing some fight.
So taking into account current form, injuries ect ect ect, who are these 9 Winable games against ? Im guessing your starter is QPR at home ?
wins against Geordies, brumies, cockneys, hughes lot, mackems, square heads team, taffs, cockneys again, burnley, draws with scousers, white and red cockneys, losses agains two mancs and blue cockneys....
My confidence I've got from the first half on Sunday, play like that to the end of the season and we'll win far more than we lose and it was with an almost scratch team, they were at full strength and couldn't live with us the first 45.
Thing is its not like we are cut adrift, none of the other teams really look like they are going to win 1 in every 3 either. Due to the amount of teams down there and no-one been cut adrift you might need less points than normal to.
Exactly - no two seasons are the same. When we were relegated in 2009/10 us and Burnley finished with 30 pts with Portsmouth on 19 (after having 9 deducted). In theory 31 pts would have been enough to stay up that season....
I'd love to be more positive , people keep telling me there are 3 worse teams , but with our injuries I can't see us scoring goals and winning games
winning 5 games against top teams isnt whats required here - we need to pick up more points off our rivals we have given away so many crucial points this season - WBA , Palace , Leicester and Burnley add to that dropping points late against Stoke , WHam , Arsenal and Newcastle . we have only looked ****e three times this season , Man Utd , Burnley and the home game v West Brom there is reason to be optimistic that we have the ability to turn this around
We have looked ****e far more than 3 times this season. In fact, I think we've only looked half decent 3 times.
That's fair comment RTR, and I agree that IF Sundays 1st half is replicated survival is within grasp, but the two things that I cant get away from are 1...Will we replicate the 1st half more than the 2nd in the run in, and 2...Its one of the games fundamentals that you need to score to win, not looking too likely....not to mention stopping the other team scoring But heres hoping !!!
