Or Jurgen hasn't had a great time of the FA cup

But lets really look back and see what happened

8th Jan 2017. LFC play plymouth argyle at home in 3rd round of FA cup result 0-0

Klopp makes 10 changes to starting side for the game. Game context is this game came 3 days before LEague cup semi final first leg v Southampton

    Team:

    Karius
    TAA Gomez Lucas Moreno
    Can Stewart Ejaria
    Ojo Origi woodburn

clearly klopp was encouraged by the draw and home tie.

18th Jan 2017. LFC play plymouth away in 3rd round replay result 1-0 win

    Karius
    TAA Gomez Lucas Moreno
    Coutinho Stewart Ejaria
    Ojo sturridge woodburn

    Lucas scores a goal... amazing.

28th January 1017 LFC play wolves at home in 4th Round result: lose 1-2

This game rounds out a truly miserable month for LFc as we took 1 point fomr 12 and lost league cup SF too.

    Karius
    Randall Gomez Klavan Moreno
    Windy Can Ejaria
    Firmino Origi Woodburn

Klopps comments: "I am responsible for this performance because I thought this line-up was ready for this game but obviously we weren't and that doesn't feel too good."

report is here for those who want to read it https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38700673

Firday 5th january 2018 LFC play everton at home: result win 2-1

    Karius
    Gomez Matip VVD robertson
    Miner Can Ox
    Lallana Firmino Mane

27th Jan 2018 LFC play west brom at home result 2-3 loss

    mingolet
    TAA Matip VVD Moreno
    Ox Can Windy
    Sala firmino Mane

Firmino scored early and team thought it was all over. West brom immediately equalised. Matip had an absolute nightmare and looked like his head was on next game. firmino also misses a pen. the story is lfc are ran off park by a twerrible west brom side

(in other words the attitude was all over the place)

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42756218

7th Jan 2019 LFC play wolves (now a prem team) in 3rd round fa cup lose 1-2

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46718633

    mingolet
    camacho fabinho Lovren Moreno
    shaqiri Milner Kieta Jones
    Origi Sturrdge

    Lovren injured.
Both right side players think they are strikers and spend game so far forwards that a 16 year old plays both RB and CB.
    Sturridge not arsed etc etc

    .................................................

This clearly shows klopp's heavily rotated most years but knew a lost to everton would not be acceptable to us so when he tried he actually won.

Attitude has been a major facotr

Scape goat names keep popping up. Moreno playing... Origi playing... lots of kids throw in.

If you look at the list

TAA: boy has done very well off his chance.
    Gomez: Has taken his chance
    Ejaria has flopped
Woodbrun: has lost his way and is almost a flop.

What Klopp says without using words is that he sees finishing as high as possible in the league his first priority and getting as far as possible in the Champions League, domestic cups aren't really on his list to do in August.

It is 3 lost opportunities IMO still

I think klopp doesn't mind the league cup par se but the SF is bloody awkward after christmas.

I think FA cup 3rd round is really klopp doesn't get it. he is thinking should be in a break here. players need break and no matter what the draw im using the **** players.

    The team selection proves it.

But the past two years losses prove players attitude stinks.

Remember how west brom wanted it more, firmino scoring then an immediate equaliser, west brom all over our players.. that stupid flock by matip?

In reality some players have been got rid of as a result like stewart but some players keep hanging round like a bad small. Why origi and moreno are still at the club after so many failed bids and **** i don't know.

same for markovic... god only knows what he's been at for that last 6 months.... at least klopp doesn't pick him.

I think everyone we now want to sell are off on loan... I really do. Klopp's stopped keeping guys for this cups as theres not enough game time in them.

What we see are the real dregs and the very very young.

In his brief cameos in the last month or so he has shown a lot more desire then Studge. I think he offers a physical presence as well. I would pick Origi ahead of Sturridge to come on from the bench at the moment. That's our main depth problem at the moment we have no one to replace Mane, Salah or Firmino

Sturridge has probably seen his arse after being stuck in the B team. He did himself no favours with that attitude though. I've always thought he was a talented player but I think it's time to move on. Klopp doesn't like unhappy bunnies.

Studge started the season well but probably believed he'd play a bigger part than he as. I think he's thrown his toys out the pram and already decided to move on at the first opportunity.

Or maybe the FA have succeeded in distracting him with their ridiculous betting allegation he has to defend himself against?

If he read my post after the Chelsea game he'd understand his massive importance to us:

Obviously PGMOL managed to #derail our #invincible season with a series of strange decisions from the Manc ref so perhaps he's also a bit depressed about that

It's simple, if we end up winning the league and getting deep in the CL then nobody will ever mention this year's FA Cup run again, or if they do they'll just laugh and move on

If we mess up the league and don't go much further in the CL then the Wolves game will be brought into sharper focus and Klopp will probably start to come in for some proper criticism since the restlessness of not winning anything again will surface

    I agree
I don’t like losing any trophy however we need to stop the Klopp bashing
Our squad whilst better than last seasons is nowhere enough to compete on four fronts.
He didn’t put a **** side out certain players let him down - badly
Even shaq didn’t try till changes were made.
As a club the FA cup has never been a comp we have really done well in
I stand to be corrected but haven’t we only won it seven times compared to Utd 12 arsenal 12 (?)
As I said I hate the idea that we took it less serious but he put out a reasonable side and let’s not forget we were fingertips away from a draw.

This is the first time I have ever thought we have a chance with my head and not my heart because our Defence has looked okay.

This Saturday is a big game
We win that game comfortably 2-0 with minimal fuss and we will get back into our groove
Lose or draw and we are going to start to wobble

Gonna get behind Herr Klopp and trust he knows what he is doing :)

Imagine the opposite scenario. If we burned out in the PL and CL how many are going to say "Ah well, at least we went balls deep in the cup"?
