Hoilett moves on a 4 year deal. Source: Twitter. Well that's one player off the rumour mill. People on twitter suggesting he is showing a lack of ambition going to Germany, with the majority of those not realising he's moved to a Champions League club.
Exactly, many people saying this is a backwards move...from a championship club to a champions league club! a club who finished 4th in probably the 3rd best league in the world
Who's the least popular bloke on the terraces at Borussia Mönchengladbach? The bloke who shouts,"give me a B..."
Bit gutted about that as i thought he was on the MH list. I keep saying this, MH will bring in players that have not been part of the rumours. I also expect French players to be on his list.
Obviously it's a policy at Blackburn to sell their best players to clubs outside England only. P***ks. Hope they stay where they are.
We dont need him. He was tempted by a possible place in the UCL and then a possible move to maybe even bigger club. He also have his connections to german because he did play there as a teenager.
The Gladbachs have turned their team around in the past 18 months by giving young players their chance and this signing shows they are continuing this policy, you have to admire their stance and good luck to him and them...
Wien the English sleep the Germans work. Great move for both player and club, at BMG he'll develop much more than being on the fringes of either Spurs or Liverpool. Still, I was holding on to hope that Sparky might have persuaded him to join us.
All work no play will make him a dull toilet! He could have been good for us, but there you go. You seem to keep up with european football norway, have you seen anything of this other Traore we are being lnked with?
Not much, only on the CL and EL highlight round up from when he was a part of Cluj' massive invested team that 'bought' the Romanian league. Also seem to remember Liverpool being strongly linked a year ago, before he transferred to Russia.
Very Damba Ba'esque, just bigger. Vision a bigger version of Chris Samba, playing up front with pace to burn and teqnique. Seems to have a knack of getting things done, looking clumsy doing so. But a real handful and I can't envisage any Prem defenders looking forward to go up against him. Not the most clinical finisher though, but he gets to chances and with the guidance of Sparky he could be a massive hit.
I can't fault that assessment - sounds like an unpolished gem. The question is, can he be prised away from the Russian league for a price similar to the €6M that he was apparently bought for?
That's where both this and the Samba rumour dies for me. We're linked with them for less than what they've been bought for in the last year. It's a league with quite a lot of money (from oil) so can't see any of them needing to sell, especially not Anzhi. But then again the Prem is a big lure and the be all and end all for many. And with Sparky usually getting his targets we should be allowed to hope.
