Despite all the gossip its interesting to see we are not one of the clubs he has talked to, well that's if you believe all the gossip? Junior Hoilett is close to agreeing a deal with Borussia Monchengladbach, Sky Sports understands. Sources in Germany have confirmed to Sky Sports that the former Blackburn winger is expected in the country this weekend to conclude a deal. Sky Sports revealed earlier this month that Hoilett had held talks with several English clubs about his future. The 22-year-old has spoken with Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton,Newcastle, QPR and Reading over recent weeks, whilst Blackburn made a big effort to keep him. But Hoilett has strong connections in Germany having spent two years playing on loan there earlier in his career. His brother also plays professional football in Germany and the chance for the family to be close is believed to be a big factor in the decision. As it stands Hoilett is now due to fly to Germany in the next 24 hours to try and wrap up a move to Gladbach, who will play UEFA Champions League football next term.
Monchengladbach are a club certainly going in the right direction so it will be a canny move by the lad to a league that is pretty decent. Would of loved him to come to us but once it came out he wants 50k a week at least then a move to us was never going to happen. Let's hope we can tempt Mancini to loan us Johnson.
Think this was just a case of people wanting him to come to SAFC when in realty we never had a chance.... Oh well......onwards and upwards...
Munchonmegladbags couldn't agree terms with him so he must have dropped his demands the greedy bastard. We've had enough money grabbing gold diggers over the last couple of years. I'd have had him but if he don't wanna come, **** him, .
Also another name often mentioned (not by me though cos i don't rate him) has moved also. Fulham have signed Colombian striker Hugo Rodallega on a three-year deal, subject to a work permit. The 26-year-old was available on a free transfer from Wigan after seeing out his contract at the DW Stadium. A number of Premier League clubs were interested in Rodallega after he left Wigan, who he joined for £4.5m from Mexican side Necaxa in 2009.
