This the day when we learn the date of our first act of revenge, hopefully, for us to forget the recent past.

Can't wait till we can start to see the day drawing nearer and nearer with us hopefully visiting you first. Would love to be able to play you lot later in the season when we are pushing for a place near the top in front of a packed St Mary's.

Do you lot miss 'The Dell'? My knees still ache from the last visit.

I loved the place and it will always have a special place in my memories. St Mary's has this last couple of season's begun to carry an atmosphere. Winning does help of course.

Much the same if and when you get a new ground, your memories will be of FP and some great nights that you have had there.

Takes a long time to get used to a new ground if our case is an example of how teams can lose the noisy atmosphere. Remember though that we are much further from the pitch now.

The Dell was a hovel. Although I'm sure you have many happy memories there. A while back, Fratton was THE ground on the south coast but it's now showing it's age and needs updating NOT replacing. St Mary's is adequate for what it is supposed to do but has no real soul or atmosphere. Please god, when it happens, we don't go down that route with the one size fits all approach.

    "St Marys is adequate. <laugh>

Maybe what you really need is a stadium which has capacity of 32000' but which produces a fantastic atmosphere and plenty of "soul" when it only has 17000 people in it, or whatever Pompey's average gate was last season.

If you were to find such a building, do remember to contact Grand Designs so that Kevin can do an on-camera piece about what a miracle has been achieved! <laugh>
