I was surprised you didnt go for him initially to get some of the pressure of De Gea while he continues his education. Cesar would look quality in a settled, high-lined defense. He has been criticized by some Rs fans for some errors, but most of these have come when under pressure from a poor back four and with a line very deep so that strikers are right on top of him. At a more continental pace, his actual goalkeeping ability and command of his area are excellent and he would do well for the next 3-5 years at someone precisely like Utd.
Exactly this, he would be a great addition to any side and hopefully not going anywhere. He may have had a dip in his career with confidence problems but there have been no signs of this since being with us, first class Keeper imo.
