Possibly, but I think a lot of you are missing one important point. What makes you think prospective buyers are willing to wait forever for him to make up his mind. They've already walked way once and I'm sure Bates is well aware that he may never get a better offer. As soon as we got 8/1 odds to win the Championship outright, that's when he'll have thought "we've got a shot of promotion... I'm not leaving yet!" What he forgot to realise was as soon as the takeover talks got shakey, the odds skyrocketed and we no longer looked like a good shout.
