We have been placed in the South-West area section ahead of the draw for the first round of this season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

City missed out on being drawn for a bye into the next round and go into the hat for the draw which will take place on Soccer AM on 17th August.

This means we will be drawn against one of the following clubs: Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Exeter City, Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, Torquay United or Wycombe Wanderers.

Obviously home to Rovers would be the ideal draw.

This trophy represents a good chance of going to Wembley/silverware

Arguably the 2 strongest teams (Wolves and Sheff U) are in the Northern half of the draw

Getting to Wembley in this is good experience for a play-off final as was the case for Bradford (all be it they went in the League Cup final)
