Jozy to Brighton on loan would be smart, get him banging the goals in down in the championship, then get him back next year if we need him like we did with Wickham. Also probably means Wickham is gonna stay which is good.
Not happening, got a feeling Jozy will be our 1st choice after about 10 games, maybe sooner. Connor can't pass and Fletch can't be arsed to move. over 30m quid in strikers and only one of them has a fraction of what we need. If I'm honest I think we'll end having to replace all 4 of them sooner rather than later. If we get the little Italian who's name we dare not mention(or a suitable replacement), then I'd start listening to offers for the rest of them, start shipping them out in any order.
No way this will happen. On the plus side that forum is mint, I thinking of joining up, the lads are really witty. One of them humorously suggested replacing the 'J' in Altidore's name with a 'D' How come none of you witless ****ers ever thought of that ......... they're showing us up here
Hope so because if he doesn't bring goals than he brings nothing at all. The way we play revolves around a system which rely's on a unit that works together, not individual players. If he's not bringing people into the games and helping goals to come from elsewhere with his passing then he can't be our number one imo. Vs WBA- 57% Pass Success 8/14, no key passes, no short pass assists. Vs Swansea- 70% Pass Success 13/17, no key passes, no short pass assists. Vs WBA- 42% Pass Success 9/24, no key passes, no short pass assists. Vs Man U- 57% Pass Success 7/14, no key passes, no short pass assists. Vs Cardif-f 87% Pass Success 13/15, no key passes, no short pass assists. Completely inadequate at playing a pass and move system, not good a good enough passer and doesn't get involved in build up enough, If he isn't permanently prolific I can only see problems myself. If I was Gus I'd telling Congerton to work on a plan to replace the lot off them over time.
Amen to that, Fletcher, Wickham & Altidore will do but we need modern mobile people up front who can keep the ball in the opposition half. Fletcher was like a pinball flipper at West Brom
I'd like a few players who have a bit of all of them, The strength, link up play and team player of Jozy, the eye for goal and aerial threat of Fletch and the pace and directness of Wickham. I think we've got too many one trick ponies and not enough all rounders.
Could not agree more, its either drastic action or a protracted struggle with the current crop of non strikers, I hope its the first but I expect it will be the second option, as only Whicks would attract anything near what we have shelled out. We just have to hope for the best in to-days market. Mistakes are costly and we have made too many.
I'd suggest a 1-3 month loan for Jozy would be a very savvy move, bring him back sharp, confident and ready for the first XI
