I always rated him, he just needed to get that killer edge about him. All the basics were there just not the final necessity; goalscoring. In the 2010 World Cup, I thought he was USA's outstanding player, he looked a trouble.

I also highly rated JA. And was hoping he would come good at some point. Definitely held the ball up well and gave some Premier League centers a tough time including John Terry. Was unlucky not to score a few goals in a City side that was not exactly prolific. Looks like he is beyond our reach now. Suspect at some point (maybe wishful thinking) that the same thing will happen to Nick P.

I personally thought he spent more time on his ar se than he did worrying defenders .For a stockily built guy he was easily knocked over or perhaps he just wasn't well balanced.

Always had the raw ability, but was a real rough diamond when we had him. Strikers from Holland have been hit and miss. Hits you have Van Nistellrooy, Suarez, and Misses Kuyt, Kezman and Alves
