I, like most Blues , am very happy the Special One, is coming back to where he belongs! However , his transfer plans are leaving me a bit disappointed! I have no problems with the recruitment of Schurrle, but surprised and shocked at his disposal plans! Firstly Branna GRRRRR! David Luiz, another GRRRR! Nando...disappointed as he's getting better by the game, Mikel I'm not bothered about!
Overall not good news---He MUST keep Branna and Luiz! What say you Blues?

Isn't this a bit previous, given he is not even in post yet? Are you sure he will rid of Luiz for example?

The interesting one will be what he wants to do about Terry. Lots of rumours that Terry was agitating against him in his first spell (and I have no idea if they are true) and so I wonder what their relationship was, if the rumours were true, and whether it has since been repaired

It's all rumours so I take it all with a pinch of salt till I see it.

I could understand if he wanted to move Torres out but would be shocked if Ivan and in particular, Luiz were moved on. Personally I don't think Jose would want to or have any chance of getting rid of Luiz who is fast becoming one of our most important players. We have 4 centre halves, Luiz is currently our best...why move him on?

Why do people rate Ivan so highly? He's hitting 30 off the back of an average season, if Monaco want him for £25m odd, we should be biting their hand off.

Ivan is much better as a RB but we have Azpillicueta now who has far more potential.

I think Ivan had a very good start of the season but that was at right back. Never liked him as much at CB. Good player to have around but yeah, i'd sell for 25 million and get in someone younger and better at CB.

25 million for Ivan , we would be foolish to refuse that

Selling Luiz would ba mistake I think if Jose can polish the rough edges he will be one of the worlds best

Torres i am torn on this one but perhaps give him till the January window

I agree and would happily have him as rotation with Azpi, but I just hate it whenever he's in the middle. Jose knows how to build a decent defence anyway so I put my faith in him!

We should definitely be trying to keep Luiz, as said by Beluga - Jose will try and make him better but if not, £40m yes please.

As a CB he is 7/10, as an RB he is also 7/10. But his value to us is 9 out of 10.

How does the whole make more than the average of the parts?:

    i) add an extra point for his ability to play RB or CB to a decent standard
ii) add at least an extra point for the intangible, immeasurable winner / big match quality about him - Drogba had this in spades.

He's a far better RB than he is a CB. No way is he 7/10 at CB.

Ivan being able to cover both RB and CB makes him a great asset, pretty sure Madrid were sniffing last year so Jose must like him, his age is a downside but that's about it. He has a winning mentality.

We need at least 7, maybe 8 defenders for a competitive season

Azpi, Ivan, Cahill, Terry, Luiz, Cole, Bertrand and possibly one more

But yeah 25m and above for a 30 year old defender would be madness to turn down, we could easily sign either Hummels, Subotic or Varane for that and have at least five to six years service from each

We have another diamond (in my opinion) that Jose will polish. It's Lukaku, Baggies fan described him as a mini-Drogba. Cant see why he wont make it to surpass even his achievements given his age. Remember Drogba was 26 before he even made it into top flight football.

Abu--I want him back at the Bridge , but I wonder in the great scheme of things he'd get a game with Jose! He wants his big signing Schurrle! Lukaku wont be up for bench-warming!

I hope you are wrong mate Lukaku, and I have seen him live a few times is, quite frightening, just needs experience, bit like Drogba methinks.

All a bit of a worry these so called sales options. Ivan is a gem as a squad player, and still as good as Azpi at RB. Luiz has future superstar written all over him. JT and Torres are certainly good players, but both past their best.
Afraid I can't see why Lukaku, De Bruyne, Courtois, and several others can't get the "experience" people say they need, playing for Chelsea !!!!! Surely they will be better for it than at the Clubs they are at ????????? Or are we too obsessed with "brand" names ??
Will keep my powder dry until we lose the rumours and get cracking in the PL, but don't like what is being rumoured one little bit.
