Listening to the aftermath of the Barton incident, with people stating he's an animal and should be banned.

You can understand it, the guys had more chances than any other player I can think of. Do we need him? YES! He's an talented player and will do anything to win! No longer are we blessed with so called "superstars" or have any money to spend. He will embarrass us time and time again, however, given the choice to lose him? I'd take the bi-annual disgraceful incidents.

Player's will now think twice about diving in St James Park! God bless Barton :emoticon-0110-tongu

Nothing Barton has done or will do even compares to Llambias streaking, and we're still lumbered with that useless twat.

Having seen the incident in the replays he shouldn't have grabbed Gervinho by the scruff of the neck. Perhaps a gentle tug on the arm would have been suffice....

Gervinho needs to learn that he can't throw his hands around though...hopefully this is his lesson learned

Yes totally agree, this is an learning curve for Gervinho. This will help him get used to the rules of the Premier League and he will thank Joey for the lesson.

He did **** all he got stamped on and didn't retaliate if it was anyone else people would be saying he was clever in getting Gervinho sent off.

    WELL DONE JOEY

i dont think he has done anything to wrong yes he tried to pick the player up after diving which he got booked for but he was slapped the before that he was stamped on and the joey of old would have turned around and hit him.
I still want him in the team

He was wrong pulling Gervinho up like that, but that was it. If you touch a player in the face these days it's highly unusual for them not to go down like they've been shot. Gervinho was an idiot, twice.

I love the way he plays the game. If he left us, we would seriously miss him.

If Joey hadn't fallen over the referee would have sent Gervinho off (which is what he deserved), so Barton was in the right.
