Jose Enrique: 119 appearances, 1 goal.
Ryan Taylor: 57 appearances, 7 goals.
Ryan Taylor at left back: Appearances 12, goals 3.

    Hmmm.

    Jose who?

He's the Spain interna.... oh, wait.

Jose is actually playing really well for Liverpool though. Seems Raylor is giving it everything he's got to hold onto the LB position. He was in the press saying he wanted to lose the Mr Versatile tag and looks forward to people calling him a LB.

Keep on playing the way he is and I'll be happy to call him whatever he wants to be called.

Shut up, we don't want Comolli reading this and making a ten million pound bid for him. He is a Liverpool fan after all...

It's true. For a so called 'great attacking left back' he never really did much in the way of goals or even assists. I don't think we've missed anything he offered us attacking-wise. Having a far better CM and a decent winger in Obertan has cancelled out anything he ever offered.

One of the few good transfers that Dalglish has made. We all know that Downing and Henderson (both £20m) and Carroll (£35m) are over-priced, moderately in the case of Downing, massively in terms of Carroll and Henderson - but £6m for Jose is a steal. I'd be livid if I was a Liverpool fan and we'd spent £75m on the three players I mentioned. Imagine if Hodgson was still in charge, home draws v Norwich and Swansea - there'd be a witch-hunt. Complete double standards.

In this form? Hell no <laugh> At this rate he could have 11 goals by Jan like Amy did, we could try and sting them for another 35mil? <laugh>

I don't think I'll ever see Raylor as a LB to be honest. He's doing fantastically well and proving all his doubters wrong, and has definitely earned that place, but I'd still ideally like to buy a LB in the form of Pieters et al and stick Santon at RB.

Sadly the only way I see Santon getting a game is if we pick up some injuries to either Raylor or Simpson. Our fixture list if fine until the back end of the year. No problem at all with conjestion or fatigue now we're out of the LC. When the FA Cup comes round that may change. Hope he's happy to sit tight but really want to see him in action regularly.

Definitely. Absolutely no doubt that he'll be 10 times the player that Simmo and Raylor are. He just needs the games!! With those 2 in amazing form though, I can't see him getting it!! As you say, injuries or FA Cup!

i'm glad raylor's playing well not just for the obvious reason but also because it now gives santon time to settle in without any major pressure on him

My housemate who is a liverpool fan wants them to sign him up. Granted all of his footballing knowledge is based around PES 2010 but still good to see him getting the recognition he deserves!

I like how when they were first linked with Jose the majority were of the opinion that he's average, championship player and got relegated, not worthy of them. Now he's the best thing since sliced bread as they've got to witness how good he is in a Red shirt, then when they were linked with Colo the other week they offered the same idiotic opinions and pre conceptions when fact is he's better than any CB they've got. Fickle fans, with fickle knowledge of Football.

    Indeed Jose who?

With Raylor in the squad we look much more threatening with set pieces.

As for Santon I think he'll replace Simmo as a starter once he gets a run of games to prove himself. I see Simmo as the week link in our squad. I really don't rate him, I used to but now I don't. Don't get me wrong, he's ok and you could say he is to be praised- being part of our solid defensive unit this season. However, I find he lacks class and ability, of which the majority of our squad has oozed this season. Individual players are now starting move forward and he'll soon find himself on the bench behind Ryan and Davide...

I've been pleasantly suprized at the quality of his left footed crosses... I'm no longer concerned with Taylor at LB, he's really grown into it!

I like Ryan Taylor and he is 100% every game, but Jose is better like. Even though he never scored
