"The top four is an objective we don't want to fail. As a club, and as a team, we need to play Champions League football. It's very important for the evolution of the team, and for financial reasons and prestigious reasons for the club. So, for us, it would be better for City to win. A place in the top four is not a trophy. It's a moment of the evolution of this team. Next season I will be speaking differently." I'd prefer [City] to win because, if they do and we win too, we open up a gap to Tottenham. If we open the gap to 10 points, and it's 12 points to Manchester United, you have a safe spot in the Champions League places.' Jose's mind games about this season again. And is obviously taking pressure off the team this season and loading it on City. But when his says next season he will speak differently, for sure he expects the title next season, of that there is no doubt. We are only a striker or two away
Yep, all the pressure from us and onto them. Brilliant timing too in my opinion, game against them is only a few days away!
Another positive is Remy's red card last night. Caused us all sorts of problems and will now miss the game against us.
Classic Jose mind games. I think he'd be very happy with a draw Spuds/City as would I. Firstly though, make sure we do our job tonight.
Agreed. Can't be complacent in a game which looks like "a guaranteed 3 points". There's a real opportunity to make-up some ground here. West Ham will be playing standard hoof-ball (the way they know best), so I'll take a scrappy win. City are capable of anything against the Spuds although, on their day (and I hate to admit it), THS can be pretty dangerous themselves. Whatever happens in that game, we must make sure we do whatever is necessary to win the game. All about the result.
L'Arse will be ****ting themselves if we both win tonight. The self doubt will start to creep in and the usual questions about them will arise.
