Chelsea have sacked manager Jose Mourinho seven months after he led them to the Premier League title.

The 52-year-old Portuguese had been in his second spell at the club,taking charge in June 2013.

Chelsea finished eight points clear last season and won the League Cup, but have lost nine of their 16 league games so far and are 16th in the table, one point above the relegation places.

Mourinho's final match was Monday's 2-1 defeat at leaders Leicester City.

Pep Guardiola, Guus Hiddink, Brendan Rodgers and Juande Ramos have all been touted as possible successors.

 

But in more shocking news, John Still Luton Town Manager has been forced to change his name to John No Longer!!

Well, I am sure that Dennis Wise would really love to go home.

 

Seems a bit silly to me. Modern football eh, 7 months after being the all conquering league champs, a bad run and you're out before half a season is played. Someone will likely get a great boss as he will have some fire in his belly now.

 

Jose had better be careful he doesn't piss his players off at his next club......or his physio for that matter

 

One of the newspapers was saying that he would only be sacked if they didnt beat Sunderland this weekend - as though that would be the ultimate sign of how low they had sunk.

 

Apparently Carver was seen walking into Stamford Bridge just now with a CV in his hand.

 

Chelsea should be ashamed of themselves, especially the players. They have played as if they couldn't give a damn and I personally believe that certain players wished him gone. Now watch the same players turn it on again.

 

All said and done they are the current champions and performing so badly, seems to have gotten toxic, using the word betrayal didn't help him either.

Aye, I would be pissed off too if a club changed managers just before we played them, giving themselves a ...desperation bounce.
Can't recall it happening to us ...ever, mind.
