http://www.westlondonsport.com/chel...zouma-against-walcotts-pace-mourinho-explains Jose: “He knows my decision was to help my team to win the match because I thought that Arsenal were coming playing a defensive game with a fast striker that gets behind people." Not surprising the way Arsenal parked the bus in the Charity Shield.
Or a manager that can't make a single decision without the press making a back page story out of it and questioning him constantly. It must be painfully exhausting.
Is he not meant to respond to questions at press conferences then? That's where almost all these 'stories' come from.
There aren't enough characters in football and he's certainly a character so there's nothing wrong with being outspoken. He just happens to be a complete minge too.
I like Jose and agree we need characters like him but sometimes you just need to stay quiet. Other managers failed to grasp this and you end up with with another Rafa or Keegan rant. That's where Jose is heading, he's already got close a few times. Once he crosses that line though...
History remembers Rafa and Keegan as managers that lost it, ranters, whatever, because ultimately they failed and blew titles. Jose has 3 titles in the bag already and tons of other honours. He's also been ranting and quipping his whole career. It's frankly chalk and cheese.
Nah, right now Jose is seen as more like the Rafa's and Keegan's of the world, breaking under pressure and losing control. What he's done in the past is impressive but also shows just how pathetic he's been this season. You've even commented in it yourself along with most Chelsea fans. He really needs to learn when to shut up. A week will pass and its all forgotten but hr cannot help himself, with anything. Always has to cause a scene, like the class clown.
UIR I think you should come back and comment around November/December. See how things are then. It's 6 games in ffs.
As I say, the difference in perception is down to mostly the results. If we were top of the league and he was coming out with these sound bites (which he was even last season on occasion) they'd just be shrugged off as classic Jose. Now we've had a bad start, the press want to make a story out of every single thing he says. He made a tiny comment about the computer not working in the pre Everton match discussion with the players, and the press turned that into a story about him blaming a computer for a defeat. It's ludicrous how much the whole country hangs on his every word. More than any other manager ever probably. I think the Eva thing was badly handled and he's made a few silly comments in press conferences but nothing more than any other successful manager comes out with after a defeat. Winner is a bad loser....shock horror.
The press might but on here we were ripping into him weekly. It was funny at first but Jose's gone to far. He needs to stop and concentrate in the football. Its certainly not helping Chelsea and doesn't do you any favours. Right now there are two massive idiots in sport. Ones Jose and the others a Gypsies named Tyson Fury (ridiculous name)
I'm not sure what he's supposed to do. Most of these non stories just come from him answering press questions. What story they choose to spin is then down to them. We have 3 very good centre backs, when Terry doesn't play it's more back page stories. When he does, they pick on something else.. Jose is a big name, bigger than anything in the league at the moment and he is a guy who speaks his mind, like all of us, he'll be wrong sometimes. The alternative would be to not do press conferences or answer in a monosyllabic way to every question. I'm sure that would go down a treat as well.... Tyson Fury is a noob. 100% agree. He hasn't earned the right to be so outspoken or cock sure like Jose has.
