Been reading on SSN that Pardew "Isn't Comfortable" with the Enriques situation since he won't commit to the club: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_7034726,00.html I'm of the opinion if he stays great if he goes fine. But got me thinking that this can go horribly wrong for Enriques. If nobody comes in for him in the summer transfer windown and still doesn't sign but we get a replacement, he could then find himself warming the bench as his replacement will want first team football. Time on the bench wouldmean he'll drop off the radar of a lot of clubs, teams in the Champions league want players who are playing week in week out and on top of their game. Think he thought someone would come in for him and he'd be away by now.
As long as we are not left with young Shane at left back I don't mind. Like Smudger says, I hope we Taylor just incase we do our usual trick of flogging him with an hour to go and then say "there was no time"
Think we'd be OK with Taylor until January, if that was the case. Ferguson, Kadar and even Jonas could all cover as well.
I think the longer the window goes on the less likely he is to leave. If no offers come in by the ned of the summer, then he'll probably sign a one or two year extension.
I hope Taylor does come in for the reasons you've all said, but more ideally if Enrique was to stay (I hope to God he does, some of his performances last season were brilliant) we'd finally have 2 proper LB's and let Fergie get games at LM where he looks better suited.
