Back to his best? Played great again today, he's always a threat going forward but defensively he's just as solid. He has strength and speed and is strangely comfortable on the ball, sometimes a bit too comfortable but the way he's playing at the moment he could be a big asset to us this season.

Same goes for Johnson, lately we've been much more solid defensively and with Lucas back we'll only improve.

    ------------Reina----------
    Johson-Skrtel-Agger-Enrique
    -----------Lucas-----------

Not a bad defensive spine, that <ok>

Enrique is absolutely back to his best, I'd even go as far as to say he is beyond what his previous best for us has been <ok>

    I owe you one <ok>

He seems to be on the same wave length as Suarez which is always a bonus, let's hope he keeps it up (none-sexually) <ok>

  4. You certainly do, possibly more than one <whistle>

Enrique is one of our best players at the minute. He was superb again today and he did it from LB rather than LW too! If we get the right couple of players in in January I reckon we could really push on. However, that is a massive 'if' <ok>

Yeah, Enrique was MOTM today, for me. Long may it continue! <cheers>

  6. Worth noting that Enrique has not done so well from LB this season, his better performances have come from LW. Today, he was superb, possibly his best performance so far and he did it from LB. There is surely no coincidence that Lucas was playing in DM too...? Lucas being in there allows both fullbacks to bomb forward as they please IMO <ok>

He's a beast. Play him either LW or LB and we've got an attacking threat. His passing is usually on point, especially those custom long balls to Suarez. He's even got a great shot on him now, something he was seriously bad at when he first arrived. A great all round player. Probably the best LB in the PL.

Fair play to him. I've given him some stick over the past year but he's found some form right when we need it.

Having him playing well is like a new player, as is Lucas.

Reel them in and spit them back out <ok>

    A true statement though.

  11. I'm not disagreeing, I think he is the best LB on present form. If you're looking at more than just the last four or five games then Baines takes some beating. I just think there will be a few non-Liverpool fans along to respond to that 'statement' shortly <laugh>

PS - of course, if we are looking at the last four or five games then I am sure someone will argue that Enrique hasn't been playing LB too <ok>

little harsh on wisdom IMO... we can still play wisdom and push enrique forward and that will also improve the team IMO.

    Reina
    Wisdom Skertl Agger Johnson
    Lucas allen
    sterling gerrard enrique
    suarez

IMO suso on for he who must not be touched... need to start subbing off sterling or giving him a rest.

Deff though if we have more up front to pick from who were not downingesque I'd put your back "6" out every week... harsh on wisdom yes but he can be the go to guy at the back.

Wisdom is a good player and has a big future at CB for us, I just think with Lucas in the middle we can play with attacking full backs. When Wisdom gets in the final third he never really knows what to do with the ball, when Johnson and Enrique run beyond the winger you always feel as if they can create something. I'm not knocking Wisdom as I think he is an excellent player and will only get better, and with Kelly coming back we have plenty of strength and depth at full back which is only a good thing <ok>

Bit OTT calling Enrique the best LB in the league...he's still second to Baines overall, but just suits our team more than Baines would. Better close control and link up with Suarez whereas Baines is the traditional bomb down the line and knock it into the 6yard type.

Jose is really coming into his best form though, hope he keeps it up. Johnson also, since we're talking about full backs, is absolutely top draw this season, easily the best RB in the league.

Even on current form, Baines is probably the better LB.

Still wouldn't trade him for anyone else; he suits our team better <ok>

  18. Depends how many games you count as form. For me its the last half a dozen and IMO Enrique has been immense in three or four of them <ok> (all competitions)

PS...I rate Baines very highly and I think he is probably the best in the league overall. A.Cole is still about too but I reckon he is starting to decline, can't be easy for him.in the current Chelsea team though.

Little bit longer for me, maybe 6-8 games, but fair enough
<ok> (we have to put this in every post, right?)
