    Why oh why has Jose Enrique never played for Spain. He is one of the top 3 left-backs in the Premier league imo. Surely Capdevilla or whoever starts for them is not as good as Enrique. Is there some reason for this that I don't know about. Possibly holding out for an English call-up in a couple of years i hope!

    Yeah he's quality, I would say he is prob the best LB in the league along with Ash Cole and he only cost £6mil, quality piece of buisness, don't really care if he play's for Spain or not as long as he keep's playing well for us.

    Along with Baines, Assou-Ekotto and Cole he's undoubtedly one of the best left-backs in the league. Travesty that he hasn't been included for Spain tbh.

    The bitter bastard in me finds it somewhat funny though that he left us for success and international football and we're above Liverpool in the league and he hasn't been selected.

    Surely only a matter of time for him though.

    His onyl negative from what i have seen (every liverpool game this season) is that on occasions he gets the wrong side of players, sometimes having to foul them to end the attack.Most of the time he looks solid and gets forward well so i think soon he will be called up, Monreal and Alba will be hard to remove from the LB positions though to get a starting place

    Haven't heard people raving about Jose so far. Maybe it's because Amy's having such a hard time and people have begun to take notice

    from a completley self serving viewpoint after seeing a certain star striker continually get injured while playing for spain I think the less he plays for Spain, the better for us!!

    On saying this i'd love him to at least get the oppertunity for a cap. Hopefully he'll have an oppertunity before euro 2012
