a) It's Sunday

b) It's the Sun

c) Words and contracts mean absolutely nowt

 

Also Man Utd are supposedly interested now

 

So are Arsenal.

We might as well start looking for a new LB now.

Hes a good player but if we can get a good replacement in for less than we sell Enrique for I wouldn't be too upset. Just hope he goes abroad, wouldn't want Liverpool to have another of our players!

they cant even get his age right, he's 25 not 23, why can jernos never get our players ages right, enriques 23, carrol was 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 16 and i think i routledge was once stated in the mail to be 31.

 

Exactly this: Mine mindset is 'if he goes, he goes' I think we have far more important players at the squad, Enrique's good but he's not essential.

 

i dissagree, jonas and enrique playing together creates half our chances in any game, they play better when the other players

It also says that Jose hasn't stated his intentions, so stop being so ****ing pessimistic and look on the brighter side.

We can't just assume anything yet. Barton at the moment has given no more indication that he's staying than Jose. He hasn't signed a new contract because his future here depends on him getting the contract that HE wants. I know he's said he would like to stay, but that doesn't mean he's 100% staying. He wants a long contract but for some reason we don't want to give him that.

Don't understand really. Even if he does lose form towards the end of his contract, it's worth it just to get some good seasons out of him.

We've won no games without him this season and he's our most vital player. I say we should just give him the contract that he wants.

The bloke isn't asking for ridiculous wages, he's asking for a longer contract. I say we'd be daft not to give him a long contract.

Anyway, back on topic, we just don't know what's going to happen with Jose. All we can do is see what happens, because i believe Pardew when he says that Jose hasn't decided yet and that he has never said he wants to leave Newcastle. Lets see what happens and hope for the best, instead of just saying "Man Utd and Arsenal confirm interest.. this means Jose is definitely going".

Alot of our players have stated they have ambition, it doesn't mean they're going to leave as soon as a bigger club comes in for them.
