    and why?

Been thinking all day about who might thrive under The Spurcial One and why

Kane is the big man upfront all successful Jose teams in the PL thrive off...we saw it with Drogba, Costa and he tried it with Audley Harrison at United but Audley is limited and Kane is not. His big men don’t need pace...they usually need a sprinkling of ****housery and I expect JM to bring that into Kane’s game and I expect Kane to embrace it...he’s the Jewel in our Crown.

Son is the perfect professional to work with and I expect him to iron out a few of his down sides under the strict tutelage of Jose. This was something that irked me about Poch...he couldn’t iron out old frustrating habits in individuals...with Son it’s too much head down but I’m expecting Jose to work on the finer points and I expect Son to rise to the challenge

Jose will love Ndombele...his playmaking coupled with his work rate...the Essien in our team...he has all the attributes.

I’m expecting Jose to concentrate on rebuilding our defence before anything else and I’m also expecting Gazza to replace Lloris as our number 1 sooner than would have happened previous.

I’m also expecting Lloris to lose the captaincy...no way is he a Jose type of leader

A new lease of life for the badly treated Moura hopefully also...however I’m not sure if he has the discipline in his game to be a starter and that won’t bypass Jose. So work to be done for Lucas but I hope he takes his chance when he gets it

Jose will love Lamela...skill and massive work rate...let’s hope he stays injury free

Dier was wanted by Jose at United...I’m expecting us to see the Dier of old...get him playing the Matic role

Quietly optimistic that this will be the kick up the arse Dele needs in order to realise what he can achieve as a footballer

Many of our squad will thrive as I am sure some won’t see match day ever again At Spurs...interesting times for our Club

The GOAT will also remain a first name on the team sheet I would imagine...
Will be interesting to see how he works in Lo Celso and Sess...

I think Sess will do well. Jose was showing much love to all the players yesterday and personally I think anyone within the squad who gets discarded it will be due to their stinking attitude more than anything else.

I am expecting that defenders will be told to defend and not stand on the halfway line, ( where one ball over the top takes them out of the game ). One DM and four attacking midfielders behind Kane ( we could/should be playing like Southgate's England team with a big emphasis on attacking).
We will see different teams away and home and the team will be set up to play the opposition.

When Jose was out of a job and he was being a pundit...listening to him dissect a game was absolutely fascinating

The likes of Carragher and Neville, Souness et all sound like primary school kids compared to Mourinho who sounds like a professor from one of the best Academic institutes in the World.

This man will sort out the basics..basics unfortunately Poch had for some reason totally lost the ability to solve...and that was a problem we saw over the 6 years not just in the last year

If we assume that those with run down contracts and those who we tried to sell are not required and that we play 433 then our squad looks like this after loan returns:
    Lloris/Gazzaniga/Whiteman

    Aurier/Walker-Peters Sanchez/Foyth Dier/Tanganga/Carter-Vickers Davies/Sessegnon/Georgiou

    Ndombele/Sissoko Winks/Skipp/Amos Lo Celso/Lamela

    Son/Lucas Kane/Parrott Dele/Clarke

If we could upgrade one of the right backs, get a new left back and use Davies as a centre back, get a more traditional defensive midfielder and another forward, that looks pretty strong to me.

It will be interesting to see who he plays at RB in a back four, with a central midfield two in front as protection (I agree Dier or Winks and N'Dombele with the latter being licence to come forward).
I think he'll play 4-4-1-1. If so, Son will play wider and who plays on the left of midfield?
    Where does Sissoko fit in?

Very hard to predict for me, can take guesses at who we think Jose will like but I think FB will be hard to predict (flying or solid?) as well as the AM roles (will Eriksen get back to old form now? Will Dele be encouraged to be a prick again? Will Lucas get a clean slate?).

I can see him liking Gazza as he preferred Lopez over Casillas at Madrid due to being good with the ball. Wanted Dier and Toby at Utd. Clearly loves Harry (who doesn’t?!).

Personally, I'd like to see something similar to the Mourinho line up of...

    Duff Drogba Robben.....with us using....

    Sonny Kane Lucas.

Right now, we need 3 in midfield because we're getting outfought and overrun in there and it's leaving our defenders horribly exposed.

Having some width up top, on both sides, would make up for our somewhat pedestrian full backs.

What Jose will bring is the ability to break down teams ( yes I know he didn't do it against us-but more often than not he did ).

It's why Lampard scored so many goals. He would take a pot luck shot from the edge of the penalty box knowing that a fluke deflection would produce something. It will be Dele's job.
