From no one wanting him in the team, to now, everyone desperate for him to get back in the starting lineup.
What a season he has had and now one of our best midfielders and greatly missed. I just hope his development continues at the same pace and I wish him the best in the World Cup, where he should be starting.

I agree, Allen is there to make up the numbers and put in a solid performance when required, that is all.

I'd rather Allen stay in the team today instead of putting Henderson back in. He's been very good this season but did tail off a bit (maybe because he played so much) but Allen has looked good since he's come in and everyone for 70 minutes played very well v Palace and don't think deserves to be dropped just like that.

I think Hendo has made progress each season with us and is now an important part of our team.

    Never understood the criticism.

funny how i was one of the first to defend the lad and i am the ONLY guy to offer him up as a player of the ability to play deeper and not just and a running mule either.

his best years will be playing deeper as his energy and passing ability will shine even more.... which is why i laugh at the very mention of mascherano returning

Genuinely liked Hendo from day 1, knew he had potential. Allen, in my opinion doesn't offer anything. That's £15m that could've been spent on a much needed DM or defender.

allens a trier, give him some slack. he is average and injury prone by the look of it but he's a worker. never write off a trier but don't look to them when you need something.. ie v cheslea or palace at 3-3... average is fine to play the game but special is soemthing else altogether... whats why a CM position need better.

Allen has been one of our better players in the past month or so. I agree that he needs to add more to the game but come next season, when we'll be rotating, I can look to the bench and have confidence in Allen to come on and make a decent impact.

Compare that to Lucas on the other hand ...
