having missed all yesterdays drama, and just now digesting the days events, did i miss anything on young jordan? did any of these clubs rumoured to being linked with him make any kind of enquiry or was it all just paper talk.
are any of you suprised no-one made a bid or just relieved. got a feeling this one has only gone away till summer

I don't think he was ever going to move in this window mate. Summer might be a different proposition though

Bruce says he expects Henderson to stay with us a couple of seasons, before moving to a club in the champs league....

If we get into Europe this season or next, I reckon he will stay for longer than a couple of seasons....

As Dan said above. This is the quote from yesterday's transfer deadline page on the BBC site:

In these days of mega bucks spending and wheeling and dealing you can never tell whether a player will still be yours in a transfer window or not.

Henderson may well go in the summer but if he does, it will be for mega, mega bucks IMO. Andy Carrolls fee will turn that into a reality.

However, I absolutely dont think Henderson will be forced out of the club in the way that it now seems Carroll was up at Muppet HQ.

He may well stay for another 2 or 3 years of someone might come in with a 30m bid and it will have to be considered. Thats business.

Either way, so long as SAFC get a good deal, I'm content to let Quinny and Brucie do their stuff.

    Was Carroll forced out?

I reckon it went something like this:

Carrol: Liverpool put a bid in for me?
    Pardew: Yes
    Carroll: want me to stay?
    Pardew: Yes
Carroll: Give me a new contract then
Pardew: Talked to ashley, the answer is no
Carroll: I'll hand in a transfer request then....

Carrol: "Newcastle forced me out (they didnt want to give me a bigger salary)"

Iim not so sure he'll go in the summer either. We are building something and (except for Bent) I don't see Brucey being keen on any of his signings going unless the bid is ridiculous. I think thats could why he didn't go out and get a stand-in striker, he's still weeding those guys not meeting the standard he wants so why add to them.

Did anyone see that bit on the footy show last night about Agents ? It would seem henderson has recently changed his agent cos the one he had was on at him to move to another club, even tho he didnt want to - the agent just wanted a cut of the fee, couldn't give a **** about what Jordan wanted

Cant wait <ok> we might can a better than average player in midfield, and someone who can hit a corner past the first man.

his corners are bad but he is more than an average midfielder. for his age he is a bloody good one.
