Following his earlier tweet that read:

"Pompey win Family Club of the Year. I chuckled too. If the irony isn't enough, they have 'bought' two tables at tonight's awards. #saintsfc"

They re-tweeted his tweet, sending it onto the timeline of all of their followers.

    They then tweeted:

"Amazingly that last message I retweeted was from a club official - not top of the class table #pompey"

    Touched a nerve there!

I'd love to see Cortese's reaction if they complained to him...

For the record my reply was:

"Why don't you show some class and pay those children's charities and St. John's Ambulance? Don't go preaching to others."

Why do they think they are owed sympathy?

We have a new hero if Jordan has upset them! No sense of humour some people, but then again what have they to laugh about at the moment.

I should point out it was done on his Personal Account, not on the Official Saints account.

His account bio includes: "Views are my own"

I was just glad that some fans were following twitter and posting on here. This forum is as high tech as I get.

P.s believe Pompey fans paid the charities money they were owed.

pn_neil or whatever his name is, is retweeting any message that is against Sibley in the slightest!

Typical media trying to exaggerate everything <doh>

Sibley's a Saints fan. He's just saying what the rest of us Saints fans are thinking. The reaction is a mountain out of a molehill as far as i'm concerned. The matter should be left alone now really.

Imagine how hilarious it would be if it came from the Saints official Twitter feed...or Don Cortese himself....

Given his job I'm sure he has a soft spot for Saints, but he is actually a Yeovil Town fan.

Sibley is well out of order......

He should be using the official Saints account to post this , not his own.

Family Club of the year, you couldn't make it up. What about the families of the local people they ripped off to fund their cup win and Premiership days. Who won Family man of the year, Fred Goodwin?

Give it a rest. The award was "Family Club of the Year" not "Family Club of the last decade". Do you have any first hand experiance with Pompey's policy towards the local community this season? Or any legitimate grievance about how the club has treated the local community this season?

Think the local guy that fitted your newish changing room would have a grievance. He is still owed 25k for it, bet that dosn't help his family much. Bet there are a few others aswell.

Possibly, and there are probably more stories like that, but the idea of Pompey being disqualified for even running for that award on the basis of overspending the Premier League years and the FA Cup win leading to the first collapse of the financial situation and administration and the effect that had on the local community is still ludicrous. That may be recent history but its now this season and not this year.

So I dont object to people thinking this award is not deserved but if people think that then they could at least use something that happened this season as a reason, not something that happened two or more seasons ago.
