Betting halved after reports that he's having a medical tonight ahead of a move.

Had to spark this window into life some how...

Yeah, tbh though the odds are well off of being favourable so I expect nothing to come of this...

    still nothing in it.

tomorrow is deadline day - interest in rhodes will still be high, especially if a club misses out on their original target. people become desperate, big bids go in... thing is, huddersfield don't need to sell him and no amount of money is worth taking at this point given that without him they probably won't go up. odds are 5-1 just in case someone comes in with say a £12m offer for a league one player which is blatantly nuts and may prove too much to turn down <ok>

shame. would be interesting to see how he gets on in the premier league. saw his goal at the weekend. apparently he didn't get a kick for 45 minutes then he scores with his first touch! his movement was excellent for the goal. he dragged his marker to the near post before side stepping him and giving himself a couple of yards for the pull back which he stroked home. its that kind of movement that means he'll score goals at a higher level <ok>

he'll go in the summer I think. There will be an almighty scrum to sign him, and #i think we'll be involved in said scrum...

Don't you think he's got a bit of a Dean Ashton look about him?
I don't mean directly the same player particularly, but more how Ashton used to look in relation to opponents in the lower leagues.

He has the potential to emulate Ashton, if theres one thing we've proven is that these "Roy of the rovers" Players have been completely overlooked over the years and there appears to be a rich vein of lower league talent. Only some managers appreciate and can harness it, our manager is fortunately the master of it.

There's something in the physique as well, that ability to hold off an opponent, or roll them off.
It's a kind of mixture of strength, hustle, and finishing.

Whenever he does leave, it's going to be for serious wedge, certainly for a league one player. But then, when haven't goalscorers been expensive?

oh dear, is it all about to go a bit mental

last January I was speechless at some of the transfers. I'm hoping QPR don't let me down when they inevitably sign fat Ronaldo tommorrow!

I would be amazed if he moved in the window and in all honesty the scenario I can see is that he'll join us in the summer with Clarkey's blessing, almost identical to what happened with Bennett last year. I can imagine Lambo/McNasty having gone through the proper channels, recognising Huddersfield's situation in the league and showing respect for this by not trying to pinch him on the cheap as I imagine some clubs have been and instead waiting until the summer after they've had a good crack at promotion this year. Lee Clarke is an honest guy and won't want to stand in Rhodes' way if he has interest from Premiership club's who will further develop him. He knows what our facilities are like and whilst the manager doesn't get the final say in where a player moves on to, I have no doubt he would recommend Carra Rud as a perfect next destination.

Like we didn't really need Bennett last season to get us over the line I don't think we need to bring another striker in this year, but we'll definitely be strengthening in the summer and that's why I think this kind of deal would make absolute perfect sense for all parties concerned.

Or I might be totally wrong and he could be flooged in the morning to Bolton/Everton/West Ham etc etc <laugh>

i like your thinking munky <ok>

i just checked the odds and its 11/10 at the moment - its dropped like a stone in the past hour or two so someone must have whacked a large pot of gold on it happening. i fear they may end up disappointed...
