only 21 years old, fits category of likely to increase in value, scored 4 today against Sheff Wed. Should he not be on our list for Jan?
Premier League bound I'm afraid, I'd love him to be on our shopping list, but I think there's at least a dozen clubs looking at him already.
league 1 strikers dont usually fetch £2 mill, may be we could stretch to that but will be a problem if prem club make a serious bid.
They sold him when he was 19, so if so, then they were a bit harsh and didn't let him develop. I bet they regret it now.
I dont think anyone would pay 5 million for him up front. Maybe 2 million then subject to goals and appearances for the rest. I have thought of him myself but i think we need a bit of a wily old fox who has been round the block a bit. Iwelumo, Fuller. They will take the pressure off Matty a little.
I think Rhodes is a very interesting one, there's massive interest in him, I can't see £2m being enough to interest the Udders, so someone's really going to have to take a decent punt on him to get hold of him. The fact that Scholes has watched him for Man United several times could mean that they are willing to have a go, or there may be other Premier League interest, but unless someone's talking £3-5m, I doubt he'll go anywhere.
Too much baggage, also he can't leave Dipswich for a while, they hold the marker on all his gambling debts.
Its certainly worth a word with his club and him to see what the score is. Because EPL scouts take a look, means he is getting reputation but that doesn't mean an offer or a big contract. Worth an enquiry and a show of interest in the lad from a championship team like us. Unless some of you know more.
Oxlade-Chamberlain went for £12 million, rising to £15 million with add-ons, every so often a player is in such demand that the price gets daft.
Straight forward enough then, we go to Man U and say we know he isn't going to be in their first team this season, so why don't they sign him and loan him to us til the summer. He does well in the Championship and we're promoted then either he goes back to them or stays with us on loan for a season. All the time his price is increasing so even if they decide he's not good enough they should make a profit.
fair enough, but thats the type of striker we need. Score a few knows the league, Kitson maybe? If we let McShane go we'll have a ginger spot free in the squad.
