Clark and Robinson were the ones who were most impressive in the pre-season friendlies. Clark is relatively young and showed distinct promise.

I thought both played well against Watford - if Mangan is to be the fourth striker he does have a proven goal scoring record as against Asante's potential. I doubt if Asante would have got much of a look-in anyway if Vernon and Collins are playing well as they will surely be the starting strike pairing . Perhaps Akpro will play with them wide on the left as he did against Watford - he certainly works hard and is quite direct. There is a lot of experience in the squad and genuine competition for places all over the pitch with not a loanee in sight - I cannot wait for the season to start.

I went with my uncle and cousin who are Watford supporters. They commented that Akpa Akpro was our best player in the squad from what they had seen. He did some good runs and tricky flicks on the very edge of the pitch to get past their defense.
