Is a cheeky little bid for Jonny Evans in order off the back of Man Utd bidding for Ramos while securing the services of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling?

Is he now sufficiently down the pecking order that he is now surplus to requirements?

I would rather have him than take a punt on the Dutch lad in the Scottish league

The "Dutch Lad in the Scottish league" is only 23 though - I wouldn;t mind both TBH!

Although if he's behind Smalling and Jones he must be truly awful!!

Didn't see much of him last season but heard he was absolutely shocking - got voted their worst player of the year I think?

Not sure but it sounds like he's gone backwards - I'm sure @Typical_Juan could shed some light?

Kind of player just not good enough for Man Utd - but will do well at clubs outside the top 6.

I'd deffo take him - reckon about £5/6mill would do it.

Would be a very good signing, he's not top notch but he's a solid CB with a bit of ability on the ball. He reminds me a little bit of O'Shea in some ways but I think a little better overall and about seven years younger.

If we're not planning to bid for him then I'd be disappointed, I think Utd will sell him this window and not for all that much. They're clearly looking to buy another CB which would put Evans as fifth choice I believe, he won't want that.

    He's ****.

You can have him for free if it was my choice.

    Alternatively, shoot him.

Don't rate him at all, was a good loan player at a time when we were newly promoted and trying to establish, but he gets caught out for fun.

He is comfortable on the ball, but not to a level that excuses his shortcomings, so I wouldn't be keen personally.

A few years back, maybe. But he seemed to stall, just when he was supposed to kick on. I'd prefer him to JOS, but not at any price...

    Big no from me.

He's maybe better than what we've got, but I think we should aim higher early on.

He's a good centerback. He needs a move thats all. He'd thrive here.
