JONATHAN GREENING is moving to Nottingham Forest for £600,000.
The Fulham midfielder, 32, who played for Forest manager Steve McClaren at Middlesbrough, will sign a two-year deal at the City Ground.

Have seen this a few times this morning

    What do you think?

I liked him personally, I know a lot of you did not

I don't like him moving either. He was a good sub but probably too expensive to be on the bench.

On the positive side wages are going down and potentially we can get a young player to build for the future. Also given that within Jol's plans is to get a right FB Baird can play the defensive midfield role in place of Greening (showed some examples of attacking football towards the end of the season but even Baird can do that.)

I wasn't his biggest fan, when he was on the pitch he was almost guaranteed a yellow card. But towards the end of last season he did impress when he played on the wing. This move is probably best for both parties, good luck to him.

He's one of those that I don't mind seeing go, and I wouldn't have minded seeing him stay. I always felt he was a lot better than he was given credit for, even before his impressive run at left wing at the end of last season. He's certainly behind Murphy, Sidwell and Etuhu for the central midfielder slots, but was a decent back up. If the youngsters are coming through and ready to drop in and out of the team to support those three, then we don't need him anymore and his wages - probably fairly high for us, given his age - would be better spent elsewhere. But he did all right for Fulham, and I'll be happy to give him a good reception if he ever comes back to the Cottage in other colours.

His departure will, of course, dramatically reduce the proportion of Fulham flesh that is festooned with tattoos. Whether that is a good or bad thing, I leave to your personal taste. If Riise the Younger goes as well, it will be another massive blow to the ink economy of SW6.

I agree, roscafre. Two wingers we've been linked with - Gradel and Jeffren - are being linked elsewhere today. Maybe if Frei is ready, we don't need another winger. The reports from you and others from last night suggest that may - only may - be the case.

We're also linked today with Ante Vukusic, a 20 year old little striker at Hajduk Split. He's got a decent goals to game rate, and his ratio has improved in each of the last three seasons. All I know about him is what Wikipedia tells me, but that looks hopeful if there's anything in this, rather than just paper talk. Even if we sign him, I still think we either need to buy or promote a back-up targetman to give us the option of resting Bobby without affecting the team shape.

As for a right back, who knows? Jol may decide that Baird and Kelly, plus possibly Marsh-Brown is good enough to see us through to the January window. I'd still like to see us bring someone in there too.
