I understand JJ was guest on the pitch at half-time - how was the reception?

Was the same sort of reception most returning players get, nothing extra special I'm afraid (most Football for a Fiver people probably thought WHO??)

Lets hope he can learn something whilst working with Charlton over the last few days as I understand he's working on his Coaching Badges in Scotland.

There was a chant of "ONLY ONE JJ!" like the good ol' Premier League days from the north stand where i was, I remember that over head kick last min against West Ham in the 4-4 draw, classic moment,

Glad he got an alright reaction as it's been said, most Fiver people wouldn't have known who he was but a few did, was defo one of my fave players from the premier league days.

He was a nice guy and a decent player but a long way short of being a Charlton legend. He cost £3.25 million and only scored in 20% of his games for us, not a stellar record for an out-and-out striker. He had the same strike rate for Finland which was more impressive as they started as underdogs in most of their games. I remember him being a bit chicken on the pitch like his Nordic contemporary Claus Jensen, but the latter was a better player. Good he still thinks well of us and by all means give the crowd a wave, but to make too much of his visit would be disproportionate.

Agree with Eddie. Nice reception I thought for someone who most of us could be forgiven for having forgotten!

He played the first two seasons up front and scored. He was then moved out to the wing.

    I always liked JJ.

I think it is a Scandinavian thing, Franco.

The Norwegians are known to carry butternuts up their bottoms, while the Danes favour artichokes.

    Very strange.
