Because who doesn't love a poll? I'm way behind on everything so sorry if this has been posted already, but who is your preferred LW option for the Chelsea game?

Sammy, because you just know it will be after the City game.

Sammy. Am I the only person who thought he looked quality when he came on last Saturday? He has a great first touch by the looks of things, and I'd fancy his pace against Bosingwa or Ivanovic.

Sammy, or Ben Arfa with Titote coming in at 4-3-3.

Give Fegie some minutes as well if Sammy gets tired or inneffective.

Didn't think he was great when he came on tbh, was very naive giving away possession too cheaply and putting us back in danger, but a few of the team did that not just him. He's been superb in most of his games though, been really impressed with the way he's come on leaps and bounds, his attitude alone deserves it.

Is he actually a left winger, I always thought he was a striker just like his big brother but he's been played out wide just about all the time. I must confess to not actually knowing.

Anyway I think it'll be Sammy although I'd like to see Fergie - but Pardew doesn't think it's Fergie's position so I'd be very surprised if Sammy doesn't get the nod.

If Best/Shola are fit then stick to 4-4-2 with HBA flying on the wing to get at this dodgy Chelsea defence.

2 Big strikers, HBA from the left, Obertan from the right, sounds good to me.

P.S. Whats with the suggestion of Santon in midfield?!!!! Crazy!

I reckon if Sammy is to play then Santon has to be at LB, Sammy doesnt do half the work Jonas does in defence.

Because I know some people would like to see him on the wing, where he can play! Not in the ****ing centre. Doesnt mean I agree with it.

I thought he was pretty poor at Man U tbh. I mean, I know he's young and has time but he made a couple of poor decsions trying to run with the ball from deep in our own half and seemingly struggled to really get involved. That said it's probably the hardest game of the season and we had 10 men. I have no doubt it'll be him who's given the nod anyway, given that he started v city and came on v manure. Raylor won't be moved, Fergie's out of favour, Santon at LM? Yeah right. ect. Sammeobi seems the only option so good luck to him let's hope he has a good game :D (oh and i think pardew's 2nd choice for the role would probably be mcloven)

For me it really depends on Pardew's ideas on Santon and I'm in two minds over what I'd prefer to see too. I'd be tempted to stick Raylor in place of Jonas and Santon at LB but for all we know Pardew doesn't want to treat him as a versatile player and is preparing him for a more solid role on the other side of defense. Without Gutierrez we're going to need all the help we can get at LB unless somebody reliable comes into replace Raylor.

He doesnt like playing as an out and out striker, he said a couple of times that playing with his back to goal doesnt suit him.

And I wouldnt play Ben Arfa on the left just for the sake of keeping him in the team, he'd leave us so exposed it wouldnt be worth it. Behind the striker or nothing IMO.

It amuses me how people were so specific and jumped on the band wagon of CM. I wasn't actually that specific to begin with. Haha. Funny.

I voted for Fergie cos he's a natural replacement for Jonas but I expect Pardew to play either Sammy or Benny...

Fergie for me after I saw him at Stamford Bridge in the Carling Cup. I don't know how game ready he is though and obviously Sammy deserves it with hos current form. Wouldn't be disappointed with either.

Pardew will stick with the same team that got a point against Man U (unless Tiote is fit if not off the bench) with Sammy replacing Jonas. Best to come off the bench and maybe Shola :S

I agree Sammy lost us possession a few times against Man U, but I think he looked quite composed on the ball (a la Ben Arfa), and he was good against man city as well.

Also I agree we should bring Santon in for this game.

If Marveaux wasn't injured, we'd finally be playing him in his correct position! <grr>

I don't see why it would be anyone other than Sammy.

I'd prefer HBA to play there if Best was fit enough for the game, but Sammy is obviously the next line as far as wingers go.
